Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of PesaDesk, the accounting and business management platform operated by PesaDesk. Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PesaDesk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all users, including administrators, account owners, and invited team members.
2. Account Registration
To use PesaDesk, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at support@pesadesk.com.
3. Subscription and Billing
PesaDesk is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed on our pricing page. All fees are in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and are exclusive of applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
4. Free Trial
New users receive a 7-day free trial. The trial is available once per account. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue accessing the platform. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel and later resubscribe, a new subscription will begin at the current pricing.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PesaDesk only for lawful business purposes and in compliance with all applicable Tanzanian laws and regulations. You may not use the platform to store, transmit, or process illegal content; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or interfere with other users' access to the platform.
7. Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you input into PesaDesk. We do not claim any rights to your business data. Upon termination of your account, your data will be retained for 90 days before deletion, during which time you may export it. We are not liable for any data loss after this period.
8. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance, which we will communicate in advance where possible. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PesaDesk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of PesaDesk after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
